The Nature Conservancy has purchased 9000 acres of pristine mountain property along the ridgeline of Warm Springs Mountain in Bath and Alleghany counties, Virginia. Although the tracts do not contain any known caves, the areas are source water drainage areas for many opf the caves in the Warm Springs Valley and elsewhere. The purchase of this land and the promise of little or no development will help preserve the ecosystems in the caves in the area.
